Campbell’s Onederful Birthday!

Campbells One

I would say “I can’t believe the year has gone by so fast!”, but why would I say that because I can believe it! Every year goes faster and faster! So I’m not surprised that my baby Bumbell is already ONE! He turned one on Thursday of this week and it was so ONEDERFUL!

First on Wednesday morning we had his big boy haircut done! He DID NOT like it! It was right smack dab in the middle of his nap time, but nonetheless he wasn’t too sure what was going on. In the end, he definitely didn’t look like a little baby anymore.

When we got home that afternoon, we hadn’t been home but 30 minutes, when I heard a loud honk right outside. I panicked thinking one of the boys had gotten in the street or something. I poked my head out and found Grammy and Papa who had secretly drove in to join in the celebration! It was SOOO much fun! The boys were so excited, and they spent the next couple of days being completely spoiled by their grandparents! If you need lessons on how to be a good grandma or grandpa you should really ask any of our parents! Our kids are so blessed to have them! Grammy and Papa left in the wee hours of this morning ( I think they left some time around 6am!) We were still sleeping and grumbled bye bye in our sleep!

We had Campbell’s birthday party at our house on Thursday night. It was so much fun! The theme was…well…of course…CAMPBELLS SOUP! So Tyler made my famous Hard Rock Baked Potatoe Soup, and we had lots of yummy appetizers and then of course we ended the night with cake shaped in the form of a Campbell’s soup can. The party favors were campbell’s chicken soup. We are so blessed to have so many people that love us and our boys! Papa and Nancy (Tyler’s grandfather) even drove in from Mississippi to be apart. All of our friends brought presents! We can’t wait till they all have kiddos and we can spoil the heck out of them like they do ours!

So now I’m a momma of 2 little boys…not babies…boys! I treasure every minute! Even today when I walked into my bedroom and found all of my clothes out of my drawers and onto the floor, or even when I walked into the kitchen and saw Whitaker “cleaning” Cam with Windex and a scrubbing brush, or even when I looked down and saw Campbell covered in red food gel from the gel I used for his cake! I really thought he was covered in blood! LOL They definitely keep us on our toes…

Tonight we are dressing up and going trick-or-treat…so more cute pics to come!

Fall is Finally Here!

Snuggling under the quilts

Snuggling under the quilts

So Fall is Finally here for those of us in South Lousiana! We had highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s for the past two days! So of course we have to play in it! We have had the best time the yesterday and today just enjoying some much needed family and friend time!

Friday night we went to the baseball fields out at the church to cheer on all of our friends who play in the adult softball league. We took Whitaker’s four-wheeler out there, and he had a blast. All of his school friends were there–his favorites Bree and Kylee played with him for hours. They all took turns on the bike! Campbell found a soccer ball and rolled away, but eventually took his turn on the bike. We ended the night by taking Whitaker and Kylee to Sonic while her mommy and daddy finished up their game, to get HOT CHOCOLATE! They were sooo cute sitting in the backseat together just giggling in excitement!

Then on Saturday, we woke up early to the smell of gumbo bubbling in the kitchen. Tyler and Byrd cooked two cambrios full of Sausage and Chicken gumbo for our best bud, Mallory Morgan’s 23rd surprise birthday party! They had been cooking it since Thursday night! It was so yummy! Micah came over yesterday morning too and cooked her famous potatoe salad. I finished Cara’s wedding invitations (all 227 of them…that’s 454 envelopes to lick!) while the boys ran around the house.

Then yesterday afternoon I went over to Abigail Williams, the boys favorite babysitter, and the girl from our youth group since 6th grade that I’m really really close to. I did her hair and makeup for her Senior Homecoming. She looked stunning! She’s all grown up now…I’m so cheesy…when I left her house I got tears in my eyes…it’s been a really special relationship for me! I love her and her parents so much. They’re such a blessing to me! Abigail’s a great girl, with a TON of potential and a sweet heart. I can’t wait to see what God does with her  life…I hope somehow we stay connected!

Then after the Homecoming Festivities, we went to Dave and Mallory’s house to surprise Mallory for her birthday. She had made reservations at A Taste of Asia for a few of her friends and her. We canceled it behind her back, and instead about 40 people surprised her…we ate gumbo, potatoe salad, birthday cake and LOTS of smores! Kylee and her parents came to and you should’ve seen Whitaker’s face when he saw Kylee walk in! He had talked about her all day from the night before! They have so much fun together. They sat together and ate a dozen marshmellows and grahm crackers and hot chocolate. We ended the night when the sugar kicked in and Kylee and Whitaker got the urge to dance! Oh my goodness….they were bouncing off the walls! The cutest thing their mommies have ever watched! So of course I had to join in on the fun! We danced and danced to Michael Jackson.

Then right before we left, we jumped on the golf cart and joined the girls for a haunted ride through the woods! We definitely got stuck in the mud a few times, and then almost made it back to the house, but ended with a flat tire! Whoops!

Santa Paintings for HPCs Miracle Offering Buy One Today!

It will complete your Christmas Decor!

It will complete your Christmas Decor!

In order to raise money for the annual Healing Place Church’s Miracle Offering, I will be putting my artistic skills to the test!

I am now taking pre-orders for Santa paintings that will complete your Christmas decor. Proceeds will go towards the Healing Place Church Miracle Offering that will be taken up on November 14-15. A sample of the one I made for myself last Christmas is attached. You may have seen a painting like this in Pottery Barn as that’s where I got the idea. I made this one for my house last year. It’s size is 5′x5′. It’s made of unfinished canvas and gold paint and then sprinkled with gold glitter. It looked fabulous especially when the christmas lights I had under it were turned on. It is stretched and wrapped on a wooden frame.

I can paint you one in any size and any color. Also if you’d prefer finished canvas (all white) instead of the vintage look (unfinished) I can do that for you as well. The prices are FAR below what you would pay to Pottery Barn and even ebay.

I will only do 10 paintings so order yours first! They will be ready and delivered to you by Friday, November 20th–plenty of time for you to plan your Christmas decor. Tyler will even hang them for you at no extra cost!

 The prices are as follows:

 2′x2′ $35

3′x3′ $60

4′x4′ $120

5′x5′ $175

For any other size please call me for a quote. Please feel free to tell everyone you know! Hope you’ll get one and join in on the Miracle Offering fun!

 Thanks for looking!

Reliving the Glory Days…

I had lunch with 2 guys I played football with in high school today.  Honestly, that is probably as close as I will ever come to attending a “class reunion.”  Anyway, reliving our glory days and being apart of this video has been a lot of fun over the past couple days.  See if you can tell what part of the video I enjoyed the most…
