My mom is officially famous…

OK, I don’t really know how big of a deal this actually is (and if you asked my mom she would say its not a big one at all), but to me this is the on the “Greatest Things I’ve Seen Ever” list!

My mom is a math teacher.   At least that’s how I’ve answered the question of “What does your mom do?” for 20ish years.  I know that that’s not really an accurate description of anything that she actually does, but whatever it is I know it has something to do with mathematics.  As far as I’m aware, there aren’t but a couple people who have accomplished more in the state of Louisiana in her field than she has.  Not to mention being in the South and being a woman in the corporate/state government world, getting to the level that shes at couldn’t have been an easy road.  I am so proud of my mom because not only has she achieved amazing things in her job, but somehow she managed to raise two children who aren’t social rejects (debatable for her son), keep up with a husband and keep him in line, and now is probably the greatest Nona (Italian for grandmother) to Whitaker and Campbell that has ever existed.

Now I know what you’re thinking, all this is coming out because Mothers Day is this weekend.  That fact is complete coincidence.  Ive never really thought of putting all these thoughts in words before today when I saw this…

When I saw that I emailed my mom and told her that I was going to blog about it!  I don’t know the details of where she was or what she was interviewed for, but I am so proud of her for just being on it.  I hope you took the time to click the link and watch the video as boring as it may have been listening to people talk about math!  My mom is the coolest math dork (“dork” in the original Hebrew translates to “awesome person”)  I have ever known!!  Not to mention, the prettiest “math teacher” ever to work the chalkboard!  HAHA!!

So, needless to say I am way proud to be Tyler A. Tullos Jr., III, son of Lynne!  Love that lady.  Happy Mothers Day!
